" At this point in my career, I don't need to learn about technology"
How many times have you hear that statement from a veteran teacher? Technology is not a commonly used tool in many classrooms. There are many teachers that feel that their way of teaching could not be enhanced through the use of any technology. With all of the advancements and studies done showing how much more information students process and understand when using technology as an enhancement to instruction, its more shocking to see classrooms without technology.

I agree, some of the veteran teachers DO say this and it is something that shouldn't be said. I understand that some teachers (anyone really in their profession for a long time) get jaded and allow this comfortable feeling to let them feel as if they don't ever need to change anything, but it is most definitely a myth. Mostly people are afraid to try new things; my hope is that they see someone else trying it and it prompts them into action once more to learn and become as great a teacher as they once were! Nice reflection.
